Man, 21, commits suicide in Swedru

A 21-year-old man, Bismark Dela Soglo, who resides at Agona Swedru in the Agona West Municipality of the Central Region, has committed suicide by hanging.

The body has been deposited at the mortuary of the Agona Swedru Government Hospital for autopsy.

The police are diligently investigating the matter.

According to reports, the deceased lived with his parents at National Vocational Training Institute at Agona Swedru.

Briefing DAILY GUIDE , an eyewitness Kobina Mensah said the incident happened on October 21, 2016 at about 7pm.

The mother- Auntie Adjoavi went to town in the evening to see her friends, and upon her return she saw many people in the house crying. She was later told that Soglo had committed suicide, Mr Mensah stated.

The matter was reported to the Agona Swedru Police who later conveyed the body to the morgue.

Soglo, who worked with the Agona Swedru Sawmill, got admission into the Nursing Training College but his parents could not afford to pay the fees which might have compelled him to take that action, according to reports.
