Man Killed At Dansoman

The Dansoman Police have begun investigations into circumstances that led to the death of a 39-year-old man in his chamber-and-hall apartment at Dansoman-Shaibu, early Monday morning.

The body of Kyei Borbor was found in a pool blood, around 5am Monday, with marks of assault all over it.

It is believed that the man might have been murdered by unknown assassins in his room while he was asleep.

Some residents at the scene also asserted that the deceased might have been beaten a day before he was discovered dead.

But co-tenants who spoke with the paper at the time of visit said the deceased was hardly seen in the house during the day.

The tenants, who pleaded anonymity, said they did not know the sort of work that the deceased was engaged in, claiming, “He leaves in the evening and returns late at night. At times he does not return at all.”

They said one of them, known as Kofi, saw the deceased’s door partially opened but when he (Kofi) knocked to say hello to the deceased, there was no response.

When he tried to enter by pushing the door, he saw Kyei lying in a pool of blood and covered with a piece of cloth.

A report was later lodged at the Dansoman Police Station.

DSP freeman Tetteh, the Accra Regional Public Relations Officer, said preliminary investigations revealed the man might have been beaten severely the previous day before his death.

The Dansoman Police are investigating to find out whether he was killed by someone or was beaten.
