Man attempted killing bother and sister

Fomena (Ash), March 2, GNA - The Fomena police in the Adansi West district of Ashanti, are hunting for Yaw Nkrumah alias "Yaw Peace", for allegedly employing the services of a mallam to kill his brother and sister by 'juju' at Adansi-Akwaku.

Nkrumah was believed to have asked mallam Issah to perform rituals on their father's cocoa farm to kill the brother and sister so that he (Nkrumah) could inherit the property alone.

The Adansi East District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) P.A. Gamiah, narrated the incident to the Nkrumah engaged the services of Mallam Issah also of Adansi-Akwaku to perform some rituals on their cocoa farm to get rid of his brother and sister.

He said while Nkrumah and the mallam were performing the rituals, some people who live close to the farm saw an unusual light in the farm and suspecting that a thief was on the farm, the people mobilised a group and went to the farm to find out.

ASP Gamiah said when the people got there, they saw Nkrumah and Mallam Issah burying something they suspected to be 'juju' on the farm. He said the group reported the incident to the police after Nkrumah and the Mallam fled on seeing the them.

ASP Gamiah said a day after the incident, Mallam Issah lodged a complaint at the Fumso police station that a group of people assaulted him at Adansi-Akwaku.

However, upon investigation, Mallam Issah was apprehended for allegedly burring 'juju' on the cocoa farm.
