Man granted bail for inflicting wounds on a farmer

The Akropong-Akuapem Circuit Court has granted bail in the sum of GH¢10,000 with two sureties to Michael Owusu, 24, for allegedly inflicting cutlass wounds on one Robert Yeboah, a farmer at Adamorobe in the Eastern Region.

The accused pleaded not guilty and would reappear in court on December 13, 2019.

Prosecuting, Chief Police Inspector Emmanuel Owusu told the court presided over by Madam Charity Asem that on November 16, this year, a misunderstanding arose between the victim and the accused after a family meeting at Adamorobe.

Inspector Owusu said at the heat of the exchanges between the two, Owusu inflicted cutlass wounds on the forehead and the left hand of the victim who was rushed to the Aburi Police Station where he was issued with medical report form to attend hospital.

The accused was later arrested by the Police.
