Man stabs fiancee; threatens to kill victim's mother over fraud allegation

A 35 year-old Ghanaian who travelled to Lybia in search of greener pastures and back home has allegedly stabbed his fiancée and threatened to kill the victim’s mother over allegation of fraud.

The suspect, whose name was only given as Yakubu alleges that, the victim and her mother defrauded him to the tune of GHc 20, 000 under the pretense of helping him construct a house back home when he was in Libya.

Narrating the incident to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, our regional correspondent, Sir Joe said, the suspect while away in Libya, discussed with the fiancée he wanted to build a house back home so he settles down when he gets back home.

The victim is said to have informed Yakubu that, she and the mother had already bought a land hence he [Yakubu] should send the money so they start building the house.

However, the victim and the mother failed to construct the house and allegedly squandered the money.

The victim who was angered by the action reportedly stabbed the victim who he added was also cheating on him with another man.

He has vowed to kill the victim’s mother if she fails to refund the money he spent on them.
