Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), March 07, GNA - Chiefs in the Manso-Nkwanta Traditional Area have expressed support and confidence in Mr Ben Kwakye-Adeeyefe, the acting District Chief Executive for Amansie West. They have therefore appealed to President John Agyekum Kufuor to consider re-nominating him to the position for a second term. These were contained in a resolution adopted by the traditional council at its meeting held at Manso-Nkwanta.

Nana Bi-Kusi Appiah, the Omanhene, Nana Akrasi III, Anyinasehene, Nana Kwadwo Bi, Adubia (Gyasehene) and Nana Atta Asonade, Akyeamehene signed the resolution.

The chiefs said they have, over the past four years, enjoyed unprecedented excellent working relationship with Mr Kwakye-Adeeyefe, adding, "Nananom are quire happy and appreciative of the good rapport that exists between us and the DCE".

They noted that the DCE through his exemplary leadership skills and hard work has endeared himself to both the youth and elderly in the area.

''His good works and human relationship reflected in the massive votes for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the district during the last general elections.''

The resolution said any claim that seems to suggest or portray that there was lack of co-operation and understanding between the chiefs and the DCE should be ignored as that could come from only the malicious and evil-minded.
