Cape Coast, Sept. 03, GNA - The Cape Coast Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr. Anthony Egyir Aikins, has said no act of indiscipline or chaos will be tolerated during the grand durbar to climax the Oguaa Fetu Afahye celebrations on September 3.
He said reports indicated that some had planned to disrupt the celebrations ostensibly to embarrass the President John Atta Mills to create the impression that the people of Cape Coast were unhappy with his administration.
Mr. Aikins assured the public of a safe celebration as had been the practice over the years.
Assistant Superintendant of Police Emmanuel Tetteh, the Cape Coast Metropolitan Crime Officer, said investigations were on-going to apprehend the culprits.
He said there was no cause for alarm as there were adequate security personnel to handle any situation.
