The South African President Mr Thabo Mbeki yesterday made a brief stopover at the Kotoka International Airport on his way to attend a meeting in Sweden.
President John Agyekum Kufuor, ministers of state and the South African Ambassador in Ghana, Dr Mogana Phologane, met him at the airport.
In brief remarks, Mr Mbeki said there was the need for Ghana and South Africa to have regular meetings and interactions to discuss challenges facing the continent. He said African must make sure that the New Partnership for African Development became a reality.
