Renowned media personality and philanthropist, Adwoa Saah, has been appointed as the new brand ambassador for Unity Link Financial Services Limited.
The announcement was made during a press briefing held in Accra on July 12, 2024.
Haja Kabba, the chief operating officer (COO) of Unity Link Financial Services, commended Adwoa Saah for her outstanding contributions as a media personality and influencer, which have earned her the honour of becoming the company's ambassador.
As part of her new role, Adwoa Saah is spearheading a charitable initiative under Unity Link's new project titled "Kai Fie."
This project aims to encourage Ghanaians living abroad to remember and support their families back home.
To kick off the initiative, Adwoa Saah and her team donated 20,000 Ghana cedis to the Marie Louise Children's Hospital in Accra.
In addition to the cash donation, the team provided various essential items, including pampers, drinks, Cerelac, exercise books, and pens, to support the children at the hospital.
“We came with a lot of stuff, most importantly we came with a cash donation of 20,000 Ghana cedis.
“We also brought Cerelac, pampers, drinks, Milo, exercise books, pens, and other items. We want the children to know that we love them and that they are not forgotten. Even though some of us have left Ghana, we still remember home,” Adwoa Saah stated during the donation event.
Dr. Maame Yaa Nyarko, the head of the Marie Louise Children's Hospital, expressed gratitude for the donation while highlighting the hospital's challenges.
“We are a very old institution, and currently one of our biggest challenges is infrastructure. Most of our buildings are older than most of us here, with issues in plumbing, electrical systems, and structural integrity. We have many leakages and cracks in some of our buildings,” she lamented.
Dr. Nyarko received the items on behalf of the hospital and thanked Adwoa Saah and her team for their generous support.
