Meet Clifford Delle: The 22-year-old doctor leading a new era in mental health advocacy

At an age where most young people are still exploring their career paths, Dr. Clifford Delle has completed medical school and is embarking on a journey to make a difference in healthcare and mental health advocacy.

His passion for community-led initiatives has led him to spearhead initiatives aimed at educating the public about mental health challenges and reducing stigma.

This information was shared in a recent LinkedIn post by digital marketing professional, Edward Asare.

He stated, "At an age when many are just beginning their university studies, Dr. Clifford Delle has already completed his medical degree and is poised to make a significant impact in the healthcare field. This young Ghanaian doctor's journey is a testament to the power of ambition, hard work, and a passion for helping others."

According to the post, Dr Delle is an alumnus of the Ghana Secondary Technical School, (GSTS) and the University of Development Studies. (UDS)

"Dr. Delle's academic journey began at Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in 2015, where he excelled in science and mathematics, and was a member of the GSTS National Science and Maths Quiz team. His exceptional performance led him to enter medical school at the University for Development Studies at just 16 years old - an impressive feat that set the tone for his future accomplishments.”

It added that he founded the Mental Health Chatroom, an initiative aimed at
improving society's understanding of mental health diseases.

"Throughout his six-year medical education, Dr. Delle didn't just focus on his studies. He actively sought out opportunities to broaden his horizons and make a difference. In October 2020, he founded the Mental Health Chatroom, an initiative aimed at improving society's understanding of mental health and mental illnesses,” the post added.

His leadership qualities have been evident in various roles, including as a CGI U Fellow with the Clinton Foundation, and as a Certified Member of the World Youth Alliance.
