In Ghana, women continue to make significant strides in various sectors, challenging gender stereotypes and shattering glass ceilings.
From the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to politics, health, and law, more women continue to push boundaries as they are seen, heard, and recognised.
Among them is Dion Akosua Kassim, who is yet to graduate as a valectidorian of the 2024 University of Ghana Law School of Law with an impressive final grade point average of 3.89 out of 4.0.

He congratulated her for her outstanding success at the University of Ghana School of Law.
"Meet Dion Akosua Kassim, the valedictorian of the University of Ghana Law School Class of 2024, who is graduating with an impressive FGPA of 3.89 out of 4.0. With aspirations to pursue a career in corporate and commercial law, we congratulate her on this outstanding achievement," he narrated.
Dion, while at the School of Law, served as a co-head of the Moot and Advocacy Committee for the 2022/2023 academic year and was also a recipient of a Lebanese scholarship.
She is not only passionate about law; she is also an avid reader who loves listening to music.
According to her profile shared on the Law Students' Union page, Dion draws her inspiration from God and her mother.
She is an alumnus of the East Airport International School in Accra and aspires to pursue a career in corporate and commercial law.
