Mr Emmanuel Kwame Adu-Sarfo of the Mount Moriah Congregation of the Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Mothers' Day, asserted that men cannot do without women in their lives, advising men to honour their mothers and the women in their lives.
Mr Adu-Sarfo, who was preaching during a Mothers' Day service, said, men need women at any stage in their lives, "It is a woman who conceived you, when you were born probably your grandmother was there to help out with bathing you.
"You probably had a sister who helped with cooking for you, when you are of age, you realize that you definitely need a woman in your life as a wife," he said emphasizing the importance of women in life.
Mr Adu-Sarfo however admonished women living with step children to treat them well, adding that, many women maltreat step children so badly that the child only remembers them with bitterness.
He said such behaviours by some women was not motherly, saying that, "If you live with a child who is not your own and he or she is not able to wish you Happy Mother’s Day, question yourself."
Preaching on the theme: "Anointed For Service”, Mr Adu-Sarfo, urged Christians to live holy lives that would enable God to use them for His own purpose.
He said, as Christians “we need to be prepared at anytime to be used as vessels of honour for God.
The day, which also coincided with the thanksgiving service of the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) of the Church, was also used to pray for mothers.
