Accra, July 19, GNA - An International Evangelist based in the United Kingdom (UK), Nana Owusu has urged pastors and men of God in Ghana to join in the crusade against homosexuality and lesbianism which are gradually gaining grounds in the country.
He said the indigenous Ghanaian culture frowned upon such anti-social behavior and all efforts must be made to nip it in the bud.
Nana Owusu gave the reminder at a one-day crusade to win souls for Jesus Christ at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.
It was organized by a religious fellowship group in Accra known as "And The Kingdom Shall Be The Glory", under the theme "Salvation".
About 26 persons at the crusade gave their lives to Christ and prayers were said for them to be steadfast in the Lord.
Nana Owusu took a swipe at pastors and other men of God who condone such immoral practices in society for fear that their membership will dwindle if they condemned the act.
The Evangelist urged men of God to proclaim the truth and stop misleading the flock as they will account for their stewardship one day.
He noted that society was engulfed in a lot of sin and all forms of unrighteousness which did not glorify God in any way, and tasked men of God to wake up and redeem the time.
Nana Owusu appealed to Christians to be wary of self-styled pastors and men of God who had commercialized the word of God and wittingly duped and misled their followers in the name of God.
Later in an interview, the Founder of the Fellowship, Evangelist Paul Boateng told the Ghana News Agency that the group was formed about 5 years ago with 3 people to bring lost souls back to God's kingdom.
He said the youth engaged in so many anti-social vices due to the unemployment situation in the country and appealed to government to come up with interventions to alleviate their plight.
Mr Boateng said the Fellowship will continue to pray and intercede on behalf of Ghanaians, especially the youth, in their quest to ensure a holistic society.
