Military should oust govt, if ... – Kofi Wayo

The founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party (URP), Charles Kofi Wayo has described the current energy crisis the country is going through as unnecessary and uncalled for. He blamed the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the problem saying, the government should have put in place measures to avert the crisis rather than wait for it to worsen before rushing to solve it through panic measures.

Mr. Wayo wondered how the government could rely on the providence of rainfall in this era to provide energy to power the country's economy.

Contributing to Shaft Fm's morning show programme recently, the cigar-chomping maverick politician stressed that the government was deceiving Ghanaians by blaming the current energy crisis on the lack of rainfall in the country, adding that the government should be honest enough to tell the truth behind the crisis.

The Leader and Founder of URP promised that when voted into power as the next President of Ghana, he would change the constitution to compel every government to sign a performance contract, failure of which the military should oust the government from office within six months.

He called on Ghanaians to use the resources nature has blessed the country with to develop themselves rather than look up to foreigners for support.
