21ST CENTURY company DAMNS CRITICS
Owners of the millennium city housing project at Kasoa in the Central region,
21st Century Construction Company has assured its clients and especially
prospective ones that the project is on course to help address the country’s
housing deficits.
The company which is into real estate development and the leasing of plots
conceptualized “THE MILLENNIUM CITY PROJECT” in the central region described
attempts by uncompetitive competitors to create an erroneous impression that
customers investment with the company could be affected by an ongoing legal case
in the court so as to cast doubts about their operations.
They said the publication posted on Ghanaweb on 14th march by coward and
faceless saboteurs is baseless and merit no credibility but simply to destroy
their hard won business reputation. This is not only mischievous but malicious
they stressed.
According to the piece, 21st Century is engaged in a legal suit with some others
over the ownership of the land it has been selling to its customers.
Management views this as a desperate attempts by those behind the piece to cause
disaffection for the company in view of the fact that, they know that, they
might lose the case in court.
“We know and are confident that, we will triumph in the case in court and so we
are not perturbed and so will not engage ourselves in media gimmicks for the
purpose of scoring cheap points,” the company’s management said.
The company said, contrary to speculations by the faceless people behind the
Ghanaweb piece, it has sold some over 120 estate houses on same tract of land to
buyers who are living in comfort on the land and discounted the claim that, the
company was into illegal sale of lands to people.
The company also said it has received orders for purchase in the region of 500
houses that are awaiting final consummation of the deal.
It said, the area, which others are contesting is only 2,000 acres but added
that, “it will interest anybody to know that, 21st Century owns over 20,000
acres of land in the area” and queried, “doesn’t this smack of mischief?”
“Ours is a credible company whose activities are above board and we will not do
anything that could create problems for our clients and ourselves,” the
management said and called on all their customers to ignore what it termed as
propaganda.
21st Century Construction Limited is a limited liability company duly registered
with the Registry-General’s Department to carry out the business of real estate
development and the leasing of plots to corporate bodies and individuals. The
company has it project dubbed “THE MILLENNIUM CITY PROJECT”. The millennium city
development project has been conceptualized and developed by 21st Century
Construction Limited as a modern first class residential enclave with carefully
planned open spaces, parks and excellent amenities.
The location is endowed with wide stretch of level ground which makes it
possible to have the view of features over a five Kilometer distance from any
location. In addition, the location benefits from an abundant flow of fresh
Atlantic Ocean breeze.
It mentioned some of its clients who have benefitted from the 21st Century land
as the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Immigration Service,
Customs, Excise and Preventive Service, Bank of Ghana, Ghana Commercial Bank,
American Communications Systems, Ghana Medical Association, Anglogold Ashanti,
State Insurance Company, Vodafone and Peace FM, to mention only a few.
The management said, if the piece says State Housing Company has stopped
developing parts of the land, that has nothing to do with 21st Century and that,
the company said, the fact is that, State Housing Company has since eight years
ago sold its property in the area to buyers and said, the propagandist do not
even seem to know their facts.
It indicated that, as a credible Company, it has a policy of assisting
prospective land and estate buyers to conduct searches at the appropriate
quarters and only accepts payment after the issue of ownership verification has
been sorted out.
The company admitted that, it is engaged in a legal suit with some people over
the ownership of some portions of the land but said, that does not mean that, it
does not have a title to the land asking, “if today somebody comes to you to
question your ownership of the land on which your house is located, would that
action mean that, you do not own the land, or does it mean that, you would lose
ownership of the land?”
The company called on all their customers to ignore such propaganda against it,
assuring them that, it would not do anything that would jeopardise their
investments future or lead to the declaration of the monies they have paid as
bad debts.
It dared its critics to go to every extent to show proof of their ownership of
the land, or shut up and urge the media and the public to always endeavour to
cross check their facts with the Company before they go to town with such
malicious but false reports.
