A.C. Ohene Joins Ranks Of Conscienceless Journalists
The Office of Professor Mills is extremely appalled by the lead story in today’s The Heritage newspaper.
The paper, edited by A.C. Ohene, screamed with a banner that read “MILLS TO REJECT PALACE, Flagstaff House Fit For Poultry”.
The opening paragraph read “Should the National Democratic Congress led by Professor John Evans Atta Mills win the December election, the new Presidential Palace complex would be converted into a hospital, a school or even a farm – possibly a multimillion cedi poultry farm!”
The rest of the story did not give the slightest slant to suggest that Professor Mills, either by word or deed, has given indication that the Presidential Palace will be used for any purpose other than that for which it is being built.
Indeed, A.C. Ohene, in an attempt to defend his paper, said that nowhere in the body of the story was it suggested that the NDC Leader said he was going to turn the Palace into a poultry farm.
What A.C Ohene conveniently chose to forget, in pursuit of his diabolical agenda, is the portion of the GJA Code of Ethics that states that the headline of a story must have a direct bearing on the body of the story.
A.C. Ohene parades around as a seasoned journalist, yet chooses to forget the ethics of his profession.
We are asking A.C. Ohene a simple question; in his mind, does he really think the Presidential Palace can be used as a poultry farm?
How on earth can a poultry farm be sited alongside the Independence Avenue?
A.C. Ohene’s paper put out nothing but an extremely ridiculous story meant to achieve nothing but mischief.
Obviously, the likes of A.C. Ohene, Alfred Ogbamey, Baby Ansabah and their other stable mates, having let their conscience loose, are hell-bent on churning out blatant lies in a desperate attempt to paint an untrue picture of Professor Mills.
Professor Mills is focused on rolling out his Better Ghana agenda and is not currently interested in where he will lay his head as President.
Indeed, Professor Mills is not seeking the mandate of the majority of Ghanaians to live like an Arabian King, so as to be wasting his time thinking about something that is of no significance at this moment.
Professor Mills is seeking the mandate of the people to execute an agenda that will, Invest in People, Create Jobs, Build a Strong Economy, Expand Infrastructure, and how the new leadership will manage the affairs of state in an, Open, Honest, Truthful, Humble and Transparent manner.
Professor Mills is seeking the mandate of the people to move the country away from, filth, crime, gross immorality on the part of those who have the mandate to govern, crime, drugs, joblessness and despair.
Professor Mills is seeking the mandate of the people to restore pride and dignity to the presidency, and for Ghana to once again be respected amongst the comity of nations.
Useless and baseless stories shall not affect the mood of the majority of Ghanaians who cannot wait for December 7th to give the mandate to Professor John Evans Atta Mills and his able and capable Team for them to build a Better Ghana.
