General Overseer of Hope Generation Ministry International has made an astonishing revelation that he was contacted to resurrect late President John Evans, Atta Mills, after he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Prophet Eric Nana Akwasi Amponsah said a family of the late president pleaded with him to raise Prof. Mills from the dead, but he flatly declined the request.

The prophet, who is affectionately called Computer Man, made the extraordinary claim in an exclusive interview with asempanews.com at his church premises at Weija in Accra.

He said his good relationship with the late president later turned sour because some government officials doubted his integrity and saw him as an opportunist.

“Some people at the presidency at the time thought I was not a genuine man of God. And they prevented me from seeing the president to pray for him.

“Prof. Mills was a respectable man, but he had some bad characters around him. They thwarted his effort to seek God’s guidance and protection and that cost him and the nation as well,” the man of God said in Twi.

Computer Man explained that he refused the family’s request not only because it was too late, but also because of the treatment that was meted out to him by these government officials.

Late President Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on 24th July 2012 where he was rushed to after he slumped at the Castle.

Mills, 68, was suspected to have died from throat cancer. He became president of Ghana in 2009 after having served as vice president from 2000 to 2004.
