Mills' widow turning Rawlings away from home untrue- Rawlings' Office

The Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings has refuted media reports that he (Rawlings) was turned away from the home of the Late President John Atta Mills by his widow Naadu Mills when the former went to commiserate with her.

“We wish to place on record that President Rawlings is yet to visit the home of the former First Lady”, said a statement issued in Accra on Tuesday by the former President’s office.

The statement said:“There is a calculated attempt by certain individuals with the support of sections of the media, to pitch the former President against the family of the late President Mills with the intention to create public disaffection against President Rawlings”.

The statement cautioned people with “devious agenda” to desist from such “pettiness” and allow Ghanaians to mourn the departed.**
