Mim gets NPP youth wing

Mim (B/A), Oct. 23, GNA - The Mim branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth wing has been inaugurated with a call on members to work hard for the party's absolute victory in December. Mr. Joe Ghartey, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, said the youth wing was an important structure of the party and "any institution that wants to live into the future should think of giving special attention to the youth".

He said the NPP recognised the youth wings as paramount organs of the government and advised the youth to work hard to ensure the NPP's total victory in the December poll. Mr. Ghartey urged the party's youth wings to rekindle their political spirit and ensure total discipline amongst members to uplift the image of the party.

He said the government had initiated a number of policies meant to mitigate the sufferings of the ordinary Ghanaian and called on all and sundry to retain the NPP in power so that the economic gains made so far would be maintained.

Mr. Yaw Osei Boahen, chairman of the NPP in Asunafo North constituency, mentioned capitation grant, school feeding programme, national health insurance scheme and the free compulsory basic education as some of the laudable policies initiated by the government. Mr. Robert Sarfo Mensah, MP for the area, Alhaji Ishak Bonsu, Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Osei Mensah, MP for Bosomtwe and Mr. Kofi Darko, Regional Organiser of the party, took turns to address the enthusiastic crowd and urged them to conduct their campaigns devoid of insults and provocative statements.
