Minister’s bodyguard fires gunshots at La Pleasure Beach after refusing to pay for food

The bodyguard of Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, one Corporal Wilson Azantilow has been arrested for firing gunshots and threatening a waitress and patrons at La Pleasure Beach with a gun after he ate food worth GH¢173 and paid only GH¢35, MyNewsGh.com can report.

Wilson Azantilow with service number No 2681 stationed with the Brong Ahafo Regional SWAT unit is reported to have gone to the La Pleasure Beach in the company of two ladies to have fun and ordered food and drinks totalling the stated amount.

The cop who was in mufti when asked to pay up by the waitress pulled out GH¢35 and handed it to her leaving a balance of GH¢138.

The waitress confronted him while they were leaving the place and demanded the balance but the policeman who felt offended in the presence of his girlfriends pulled a pistol and threatened to kill the waitress.

To prove he could carry through his threat, he fired shots which created a scene causing pandemonium at the scene.

A distress call was received at the La station of the incident and police proceeded to the scene where a lot of people had gathered.

He was immediately arrested and four empty shells of 9mm ammunition retrieved from the scene.

MyNewsGh.com has confirmed Corporal Wilson Azantilow is in police custody assisting with investigations and could be put before court on Monday, December 3, 2018.
