Minister to put NDC serial caller behind bars over unsubstantiated allegations

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has threatened to cause the arrest of National Democratic Congress (NDC) serial caller in the region for making unsubstantiated allegations against the government.

The caller is said to have called into a radio program alleging government officials have teamed up with some headmasters and headmistress of Senior High School and are duping parents.

According to the caller who spoke on Nhyira FM morning show hosted by Kofi Asante Ennin, some heads of circle institutions are charging parents unapproved fees despite warnings from the Education Ministry to desist from such acts.

The Minister who happened to be guest on “Kroyimunsem” show challenged to the Caller to back his allegations with documentations else face his wrath.

“I challenge the NDC person who phoned-in and alleged that headmasters are charging unapproved fees to come to my office with documents. … I will take immediate action against those heads”, the minister challenged.

“If he has no evidence as to what he is alleging, let him call again and withdraw else I will allow the police to arrest him to assist in investigations”, the head of the Regional Security Committee (REGSEC) threatened.

“I don’t want to hear those baseless allegations anymore” the Regional Minister fumed during a one-on-one interview with the host of the programme.
