Springs Of Joy-Thus Sayeth The Lord Ministry (SOJ-TSTL), an Evangelical Charismatic Fellowship Ministry in Accra, has established an Education/Health Foundation christened; “Helping Generations Foundation,” to help cater for the education and health needs of Ghanaians.

Dr Akwasi Agyeman Prempeh, General Overseer of the Church, who disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the Foundation, with an initial capital of 100,000 Ghana Cedis, would provide assistance to individuals to enable them solve their health problems.

Granting the interview soon after members of SOJ-TSTL had undertaken a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in the La Bawaleshie Community in Accra, the General Overseer said the Fund would also enable brilliant but needy children have easy access to sound education.

The Walk was immediately followed by a free screening exercise during which some women in the community were diagnosed on Breast Cancer, Hypertension, and Diabetes, by some officials from Pledge Pink UT Bank.

Dr Prempeh urged Ghanaians to 'lift the hands' of government, by getting actively involved in the implementation of the country’s development agenda and vision, instead of leaving the entire burden on the shoulders of government.

He said public-spirited individuals and organizations should complement efforts of government, by providing some of the basic needs of the citizenry.

Dr Prempeh advised Ghanaians to lead healthy lifestyles, by undertaking regular exercises, and eating energy-giving food.

The General Overseer commended residents in the La Bawaleshie community for responding positively to the call by the Church to take part in the free health screening exercise.

Mr Emmanuel Aygarko, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, who took part in the health walk, advised Ghanaians to take advantage of health screening exercises in their various communities to obtain adequate information about their health status.
