Accra, Aug, 24, GNA -- The Ministry of Information and National Orientation on Thursday warned the public against a group offering jobs and visas for Ghanaians to work in South Africa saying they were fraudsters.
The group is called 93Live and Work in South Africa or LWSA , according to a statement signed by Mr Kwamena Bartels, Minister of Information and National Orientation.
=93The authorities wish to bring to the attention of the public that investigations reveal a fraudulent scheme that may be termed a 419 racket,=94 it said.
According to the statement, on arrival in South Africa, tickets were found to be either fake, charged to stolen credit cards or issued through deceptive e-ticket schemes.
'The public are duly warned to be wary of dealing with the said Live and Work in South Africa or LWA and scrutinise all such offers with caution.'
