Minority Parties hit the street on Tuesday

Accra, Feb. 25, GNA - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday announced it will, in conjunction with other Minority Parties go on a peaceful demonstration in protest against what it termed, "the cruel and insensitive economic policies" of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Dubbed: "Wahala March" the demonstration will start at 8.00 a.m. at Kwame Nkrumah Circle and will go through the central business district and end up at Parliament House where a petition will be presented to the Speaker.

A statement Mr Nestor Hoeyi, the NDC Press Secretary signed said the demonstration was to tell the government about the hardships its economic policies have imposed on the people. It asked workers, students, farmers, traders and others to join the demonstration "to reject the vampire, economic policies of President Kufuor's government", which the statement claimed had refused to listen to the sufferings of the people.
