Accra, Aug. 18, GNA - The Minority in Parliament on Monday walked out of Parliament to show its dissatisfaction with the government's wish to extend the state of emergency in the Dagbon Traditional Area.
"We do not wish to continue to be part of the process that continues to curtail and hold in abeyance the rights and freedoms of the people of Dagbon, while government procrastinates in its efforts to bring genuine peace to Dagbon."
Mr Alban Bagbin, the Minority Leader, told Parliament that the Minority had all along declared its intention to avoid any vote on the issue in Parliament.
