Missing girls: No culpable officer will be shielded – Acting IGP

The acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh, has assured the families of the three Takoradi missing girls that the police administration will not shield or spare anyone found culpable to have played a role in the missing of their relatives will not be spared.

The acting IGP gave the assurance when he, together with a high powered police team, visited the families at their various homes within Kansawrodo and Diabene all in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.

“For every major operations such as the missing of your relatives, we have something within the police service called after action review,so we will look at the role that was played by all the actors and nobody will be spared if indeed they found culpable”.

Mr Oppong Boanuh also revealed that a team of forensic experts will be dispatch tomorrow August 14 to collect the DNA samples from the families.

“We are determined to get to the button of these unfortunate developments that is why I am personally here to interface with you”.

On his part Mr Alexander Kojo Koranchie father of Priscilla Mantsebeah Koranchie was full of praise for the IGP and appeal to the police administration to train police personnel on how to handle cases which involve missing, abductions or kidnappings.
