At least four youth from Mo Traditional Area have been shot and currently battling for their lives at the Kintampo Government Hospital in the Bono East region.
They are part of some angry youth of Mo in the Kintampo North who besieged the Kintampo Divisional Police Station demanding the release of seven people arrested by the police.
They blocked the roads leading to the police station leaving people stranded without alternate routes.
The youth group also succeeded in locking the Kintampo waterfalls including the walkway commissioned by President Akufo-Addo on Monday.
Nana Abobri Yaw Bonko, Acting President of Mo Traditional Council, who confirmed the shooting incidents to 3news on Tuesday could not tell whether it was the police that shot his people or the military reinforcement.
The youth are said to have gone to the waterfalls to ask managers of the place to stop operating because of a case pending in court.
The police who were called in when the issue was getting out of hand arrested some of the youth.
This incensed the youth who marched to the Kintampo Divisional Police Station where the people were being kept to get them released.
Nana Abobri Yaw Bonko who appeared worried about the development told 3news he has contacted the divisional commander to get the issue “settled amicably”.
