A mobile money operator has been shot and robbed by armed men at American Farm, a suburb of Ngleshie Amanfro in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Region.

The 34-year-old man, Famous Fiagbe, was shot on Tuesday evening September 24, 2024, and robbed of his money at 10 p.m. when the victim had closed from work.

It was gathered that the victim was robbed at gunpoint by two suspected robbers who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle.

The two robbers took away an amount of GH¢120,000 after shooting him multiple times on both legs.

The victim is currently on admission at the Wineba Trauma Centre for medical care.

He was rushed to the Amanfro Polyclinic, where he was later transferred to the Winneba Trauma Centre in the Central Region.

The police have since confirmed the incident and launched an investigation into the matter.

Favour Dikah, the mother of the victim narrated that, she saw the robbers shoot her son while demanding his bag and the money but was helpless and had to shout for the neighbours to help but when people heard her and came to the scene, the robbers had already bolted.
