Images emerging from Laterbiakoshie-based Montie FM, have revealed that wild jubilation greeted an announcement on Monday of the presidential pardon of two panelists and a host of a political show of the station incarcerated recently.
Staff took to the premises sprinkling powder on themselves as sign of victory.
The station after the trio were convicted, halted operations in protest of the conviction of Salifu Maase (alias Mugabe), Alistair Nelson and Ako Gunn were sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and a fine of GHC10,000.00 each for contempt of court on 27th July 2016.
But President Mahama in a release signed by the Communications Minister Dr. Omane Boamah on Monday, exercised his constitutional powers under Article 72 and therefore remission given to the trio with effect from 26th August 2016.
