More Dignitaries pay last respects to Mills

President Faure Gnassingbe of Togo was one of the early birds among the dignitaries who paid their last respects to the late President John Evans Atta Mills on Friday.
Dr. Mustapha Osman, Secretary to the President of Sudan, Mr. Yamina Bengnigni, French Minister for Francophonie, and Mr. Themba Masuka, Swaziland, Deputy Prime Minister, were also among the dignitaries that caught the eye of the Ghana News Agency early Friday morning.
President Alhassan Quattara of Cote D’ Ivoire, Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson, President of the Pontifical Commission for Justice and Peace who is representing Pope Benedict XVI, and Dr. Lawrence Tetteh the international Evangelist were also at the State House this morning.
Mrs. Hilary Clinton, US Secretary of State arrived in Accra last night to attend the funeral of late President Atta Mills.
Mrs. Clinton, who is also a former First Lady of the US, was met at the Kotoka International Airport by Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Ms. Hannah Tetteh, Minister of Trade and Industry.
Other dignitaries who arrived on Thursday were Hifikepunye Pohamba, President of Namibia, Mohamed Abdelaziz, President of the Saharawi Republic, President Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania and the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo.
The rest are President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria and Kadre Quedraogo, President of the ECOWAS Commission.
Late President Mills passed away on July 24th, 2012.
A state funeral is taking place in Accra today, after which the late President will be finally laid to rest.**
