Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper and a member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Iddrisu Bature has asked President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and his government to go on their knees and apologize to Ex- President John Dramani Mahama if they want God to forgive and make them excel during their tenure of office.

According to him, “this government will face challenges should they refuse to beg the out gone government especially the President whom they tagged as incompetent.”

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political talk segment, he noted that there must be a cause to the numerous lost of lives just after a change of government since its rate can’t be classified as normal.

He cautioned political leaders against the attempt to mock God by claiming to serve him whiles consulting deities just to be in power.

Alhaji Bature said that “members of the New Patriotic Party [NPP] should not complain about any misfortune or problem facing them while in government because those were the same problems that the previous government wanted to curtail when they [NPP] marked them as incompetent . . . Have they now realised that in reality, things are not like how they saw it when they were in opposition?”

“The NPP vigorously campaigned against the NDC making Ghanaians believe them that electricity prices were higher than monthly rent bills which were never true and can never be...it was a sign of wickedness towards the then government,” he told UTV.
