Some communities in the Mpohor district are to be connected to the national grid.

They are Bowobrayie, Miawani, K3, K9, Amuzukrom, among others.

This electrification project was made possible through the leadership and relentless effort of Alex Kofi Agyekum, Mp for Mpohor.

Electricity poles meant for the project have been delivered in Adum-Banso in the Mpohor constituency, for work to begin.

The contractor for the project is also currently in Adum Banso, the second largest community in the constituency, working on how to dispatch the electrical poles to the beneficiaries, and for the electrification to commence.

Residents of the Adum-Banso community assisted in offloading the poles as a show of support for the project. At present were Mr.Benedict Obitsedemara, Electoral Area Coordinator, Mr.James Hemeng, Miss Hannah Mensah, and other opinion leaders in the constituency.

Residents from communities that will benefit from this initiative were elated at this new development and explained that relatives who abandoned the communities, and teachers who refused to post to the area, will now be willing to respond positively when the project is completed. Lack of electricity had affected these communities in diverse ways.

Residents expressed appreciation to the MP for Mpohor, for contributing to a project, which had eluded them for many years.

They applauded the role played by their MP, and reaffirmed their belief in the fact that "not all politicians lie to their constituents".

The residents also appealed to the Mp to coordinate with telecommunication companies in the country to install telecommunication mast in the area as a means to improving access to cell phone services and internet availability.
