Brakwa (C/R) Aug. 13, GNA - Mr. Emmanuel Aye Obeng, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brakwa Breman Rural Bank on Saturday cut the sod for the construction of a multi-million cedi building for the bank's headquarter at Brakwa.
Mr. Obeng said the project, which would be constructed in phases, forms part of the bank's expansion programme to attract more customers to patronize the bank.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Paul Arthur, Supervising Manager of the bank urged customers and shareholders to improve upon their savings and shares to enable the bank to build up a strong capital base.
He said that periodic capacity building workshops would be organised for staff to equip them with modern banking operations. Mr. Fifie Essel, Breman Asikuma branch manager said the completion of the headquarters, branches would also have their own premises. He assured customers that the banks would continue to offer good services to them.
In a statement read for Mr. Emmanuel Kwapong, Managing Director of the ARB Apex Bank by Mr. K.A. Kusi, head of Finance of the Apex Bank, he said the Apex Bank would assist the rural banks to be on their feet. He urged management of the Brakwa Breman Rural Bank to contact the Apex Bank when they faced difficulties.
