Several commuters are feared dead following a highway accident involving a VIP bus heading to Enchi in the Ashanti Region.
According to multiple reports, the incident, which occurred on the morning of Monday, October 14, 2024, claimed the lives of several passengers, including a three-year-old and a one-month-old baby.
The bus, traveling along the Kumasi-Obuasi Highway, is said to have run into a ditch at Kwapia near Obuasi at dawn on Monday.
According to police sources, the death toll currently stands at 13, comprising seven males, five females, and one child.
Images of the bus, sighted by GhanaWeb, show the VIP Jeoun mangled in various parts, with all the glass windows destroyed.
