The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nyiaeso in Kumasi, Hon. Kennedy Kankam has attacked the constitutional mandate of the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak.

“Apart from him inciting minority MPs to boycott businesses in the house, tell me one thing he is doing seriously”, Hon. Kennedy Kankam took a swipe at his colleague Asawase on live radio

According to the NPP lawmaker who spoke on Kumasi-based Fox FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak is notorious for setting his colleagues on the NDC side against government activities rather than his core constitutional mandate assigned him in the august house.

Earlier, the MP for Asawase had described his colleagues in constituencies within the Kumasi Metropolis and its adjoining municipalities as a lazy bunch who fail to lobby for development for their people.

He says those MPs are comforted by the belief that, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would win any seat in the Ashanti Region, “even if a dog stood on its ticket to contest for the position of a Member of Parliament”.

The Minority Chief Whip also asserts that, his colleagues, “instead of going down to serve their constituents, rather go about lording themselves over them, and in some cases, intimidate them with their security escorts”.

Responding to those claims, Hon. Kennedy Kankam said, “I will not respond to some of his allegations. He said them without facts and I will leave it just like that”.
