Muslims advised against immorality

Accra, Aug. 5, GNA-Muslim youth in the country have been called upon not to indulge in any nefarious activities which would tend to bring the Islamic religion into disrepute.

Brother Ibrahim Alaah Party, President of the Allaah Party Islamic Propagation Group and Research Centre, made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Sunday. He said the situation where Muslim youth are seen indulging in drunkenness, wee-smoking and other forms of social vices, do not conform with the teachings of Islam.

Bro. Party regretted that some parents, even knowing well that their children were indulging in social vices would encourage them instead of punishing them.

He noted that children were given by God for the parents to take good care of them and therefore should not neglect their responsibilities.

Bro. Party therefore charged parents to take a critical look at issues that would lead their wards to indulge in nefarious activities and address them.

He also charged parents to desist from forcing their children into marriages, which would ruin their lives. Bro. Party advised them to take active interest in the education of their children so that they would grow up to become useful citizens. 05 Aug. 07
