Muslims urged to pray for President Mahama's administration

The Eastern Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Sumaila Mahama, has appealed to the Moslem community to pray for God to bless President John Mahama with divine wisdom, to be able to provide leadership that would please God and the people of Ghana.

He said the late President John Evans Atta Mills set a high standard of governance and President Mahama would need the favor of God to develop the capacity, to provide such leadership that would ensure that the country continue to enjoy the peaceful environment.

Alhaji Mahama said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Koforidua on Monday.

He expressed his appreciation to the government, the Funeral Planning Committee and Ghanaians for giving the late President a befitting burial.

He prayed that God would bless the country to continue to enjoy the national unity that was experienced during the funeral and burial of the late President.**
