The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has reflected on how his past electoral defeats have shaped his vision for a better Ghana.

Speaking at a meeting with the clergy on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, he explained that those disappointing moments of his life made him reflect on how best he could transform the country if given another opportunity.

He expressed hope that a second term as president would enable him to manage and use Ghana’s resources judiciously to improve the socio-economic conditions of Ghanaians.

“I have had the opportunity to govern this country before; I have had the opportunity to lose an election and watch from outside. This reflection has given me the insight that I believe can help bring this country back on track.

“Not everybody gets the opportunity that God will give me in this election. The opportunity to do it before, sit back and come back to do it better,” he stated.

The gathering brought together a diverse group of church leaders from various denominations, including the Catholic, Pentecostal, Charismatic, and spiritual churches.
