NADMO present items to Bosome Traditional Council

Akyem Swedru, Nov. 27, GNA - The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) on Friday, presented a number of items worth 60 million cedis to the Akyem Bosome Traditional Council. The that were presented by the National Coordinator of NADMO, Brigadier-General Joseph Odei included 100 bags of cement, ten packets of roofing sheets, 20 pairs of Willington boots, three cartons of cutlasses and five bags of rice.

He said the building materials would be used for the rehabilitation of the palace of the Omanhene of the Traditional Area and the residence of the Queenmother, Nana Kwaatemaa Minkyin, II, which was gutted by fire recently.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akyem Swedru, Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong advised supporters of political parties to guard against utterances that could undermine the peace of the country Nana Minkyin on behalf of the Traditional Council, expressed gratitude to NADMO, especially, to the MP through whose initiative the organization came to the aid of the council.

She said the items had come at the right time when she was finding it difficult to rehabilitate her building.
