Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) on Thursday donated food items worth GH? 30,000.00 to the National Disaster and Management Organisation (NADMO) in Accra, to be distributed to victims of the June 3 flood and fire disasters.
The items include 50 bags of rice, 100 gallons of cooking oil, 100 bags of sugar, 50 cartons of milk, and 100 cartons of club minerals.
Ms Ajoba Kyiamah, Corporate and Legal Affairs Director at ABL, who presented the items on behalf of the company, said it formed part of their corporate social responsibilities to assist people within communities in which they operate.
She said ABL, being a caring company, it has always been concerned with the plight of others and thus deems it fit to donate the items to the victims.
Ms Kyiamah said disasters could occur at any time and could affect anyone irrespective of one’s status and appealed to other corporate bodies and individuals who have not yet donated to do so.
Ms Charlotte Asantewaa, Director for Climate Change at NADMO, who received the items, thanked management of ABL for the gesture.
Voltic Ghana Limited, a sister company of ABL also donated quantities of its products to NADMO for distribution to the affected people.
