Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice- Presidential Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has paid tribute to the late Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia by laying a wreath at his gravesite in Wenchi, Akrobi in the Bono Region, during a recent visit.

The solemn ceremony occurred as part of Dr. Opoku Prempeh's visit to the Bono Region, where he honoured the memory of Dr. Busia, a distinguished statesman and former Prime Minister of Ghana.

Speaking at the event, he highlighted the late leader's significant contributions to Ghana's democracy and development, reflecting on his enduring legacy and commitment to public service.

Dr. Busia, who served as Prime Minister from 1969 to 1972, is remembered for his role in shaping Ghana's political landscape and advocating for governance reforms.

The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by local party members, supporters, and community leaders who joined in paying respects to one of the nation's prominent political figures.
