NDC Atlanta Congratulates H.E. John Mahama

NDC Atlanta Congratulates H.E. John Mahama FOR HIS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AT THE IEA ECOUNTER; AND APPEALS TO MEMBERS TO FOCUS ON ‘BETTER GHANA AGENDA’ RATHER THAN THE RAWLINGSES

The Atlanta Chapter of the National Democratic Congress wishes to express its utmost congratulatory message to H.E. John D. Mahama for his extra-ordinary performance at the IEA encounter last night. The President’s oratorical skills, in-depth knowledge and analysis of issues affecting Ghanaians, and his vision for the country, which he laid before the audience and Ghanaians at the IEA proceedings were very unprecedented in the history of the IEA Presidential debates. We members of this Chapter are proud of the charismatic, handsome, smart, peace loving and hardworking John Dramani Mahama. And that Ghana cannot afford to miss this man as the next President of Ghana.
NDC Atlanta also wishes to commend the leadership of our dear party for the good work done so far, notwithstanding occasional challenges they have to go through. We are very much aware of the challenges the party has to go through as a result of the numerous internal issues within it. We wish to make special reference to the formation and final breakaway of the bulwarks of the National Democratic Party, NDP. This, couple with the double standard of former President Rawlings, have made the job of the party faithful quite burdensome for the last couple of months.
With barely one and half months to go to the polls, all indications point to the fact that much energy is now been focused on the former first families. With time running so fast, we wish to appeal to the national and local Executives as well as the entire membership of the NDC to focus mainly on explaining the Better Ghana Agenda and how H.E President John Mahama intends to Advance it to better the lives of Ghanaians, rather than dwelling so much on the democratic rights of the first families. We agree with President Mahama that the former first family, like every individual member of our country, is protected by the Constitution of Ghana to freely associate with whichever party he or she feels comfortable. Just that we all feel very disappointed in them for the fact that Rawlings in particular has never acknowledged and appreciated the people who worked and supported him when he was in office. More so, when he has publicly acknowledged that President Mahama is working hard to unite the party and that he needs our prayers; so where there lies this NDP drama?
We wish to appeal to the former President to salvage his image by making his stance clear to the numerous Ghanaians, for posterity will be the ultimate judge.
NDC Atlanta appeals to all fellow Akatamansonians wherever they are, either in Ghana or abroad to campaign for the ultimate choice for this election; the hardworking John Dramani Mahama to retain the NDC in power so we can Advance the Better Ghana Agenda.
