NDC-Canada Chapter Mourns His Excellency

....President John Evans Atta Mills

We have learnt with great shock and deep regret the sudden passing of H.E. President John Evans Atta Mills, President of the Republic of Ghana. NDC-Canada Chapter would like to extend our deepest condolences to the President’s family and all Ghanaians in these difficult times. May the Almighty grant you the strength and courage to bear the loss of an illustrious son.

We shall forever remember our interactions with President Mills throughout the years as the Vice-President, Leader of our Great Party and the President of the Republic. One of such occasions was his recent state visit to Ottawa, Canada on November 17, 2011, where he interacted freely with members of the Ghanaian community.

During his public service, Professor Mills as he was affectionately called, dedicated his life to seeking only the best for the Ghanaian people. His humble leadership is unprecedented in the political arena of this country. During his tenure as President of Ghana, we have deepened partnerships with the international community leading to our economic development and the promotion of good governance, social justice and opportunities for all and future generations.

On this solemn occasion, we would like to reaffirm our support and commitment to work with His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama in building a Better Ghana for all Ghanaians. We also pray for God’s guidance and protection for our new President.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Mills family and the people of Ghana.

May His Soul Rest In Perfect Peace.

God Bless Our Nation.
