The NDC party members across the board, both home and abroad have suddenly started singing the same song, which clearly shows the need for the Party faithfuls and true believers in the ideals and pillars on which the National Democratic Party was form, to come together as one unified party come the Sunyani congress in July 2011.
Ghana’s political arena has suddenly become overly crowded and infested with miniature golfers whose main aim is to further divide the populace in a rather destructive and divisive manner, thereby effectively blinding the average Ghanaian. Today if you look around, you can see how disengaged the people are becoming with the political process put in place to involve every Ghanaian, and tasking him/her with less and less responsibility to self.
The current NDC saga is at its impasse due to the lack of common sense on the part of the leader-ship of the NDC party. We have a team of policy/law makers put together by a democratically elected President, who doesn’t seem to have any control nor authority over members of the said team that governs the country under the umbrella of the Office of the Presidency. Let it be on record to the Ghanaian voters that, people voted the NDC PARTY into power because the average Ghanaian had been sidelined but the self-centered template of the NPP party that supposedly claims they are a money making party. Yet those that make the money are surely not the average man /woman whose vote it is that pivoted them into power.
Members of the great NDC party and Ghanaians at large , warm-heartedly voted and welcomed NDC into power with the hope that the measure to life could become more bearable, there would be transparency, accountability as well as job security and proper health care available to all asunder, and the consensus was to see persons that have fraudulently abused and misused public office to amass wealth can be brought to justice. Now, where the current leadership defaulted was their inability to show Ghanaians that it was wrong for one to use public office to amass personal wealth. Instead, an already passive Ghanaian mindset that barely challenges the average Ghanaian to think out of the box was made to believe that it was ok to be corrupted, it was ok to lie and fabricate stories , and who knows perhaps to some it was even ok to kill all in the name of a shady peace.
NDC Executives at national level, have poorly exhibited the fact that they are incompetent and lack the vision that can energize the youth of the country into becoming productive proud citizens of our great Republic of Ghana , and it might interest all Ghanaians be you party member or not , to note that there has not been a since Party meeting at any level where the party ideals could have been highlighted and/or cemented to ensure that members with the proper skill sets can be and are being engaged with the political process that can ensure unity and ultimately assure a 2012 victory.
Ghanaians begun to see a leadership that was busy trying to out-do what NPP had done by lavishly indulging in an feast that no one else was invited but the leadership. Forgetting that it was you and l that naively voted them into power thinking they would live up to their words/slogan/mantra of accountability. And the 85% NPP run media (radio) in the country to ever- ready to feed into all and every thinkable fable aimed at widening the gap between a disillusioned and greedy leadership and the masses. The media frenzy, too a dive and swipe at personalities within out society that have truly shown leadership qualities that upheld Ghana’s National Interest , in a bid to tarnish their image as well as divert the public opinion away from all the issues that truly matter to them, namely, clean water, food, health care, roads etc and most importantly job creation for the young Ghanaian that needs to feel secure about his/future. It also become obvious that the need for what some referred to as young blood to be injected onto the leadership platform, giving birth young arrogant men and women that upheld little or no respect to the very leadership that anchored them. Hence, utterances on Radio where not carefully thought of, lacked political maturity and plainly put rather childish, since they had no knowledge about the ideals of the great NDC Party, let alone be able to defend founding members of the NDC party.
Time is drawing closer and nearer to what many have labeled to as the D-day, as in the DEMOCRATIC DAY of the NDC Party (Sunyani Congress). Many of us, have lingering questions, questions that all Ghanaians at large may be asking themselves in some way of the other:
• What are the real intentions of the Ahwois and why do they ill-advice the president ??
• Where are the Victor Smiths?
• What is happening in the mind of First Lady NaaDu ?
• What is going on with PV Obeng?
• What went wrong with General Mosquito??
• Why hasn’t John Mahama been more responsible to speak out ?
• What has silenced the national security chiefs?
• Why has E.T. Mensah become so arrogant???
• Why is Rawlings so angry ?
• What has Kofi Attoh truly done for the NDC Diasporans?
• Why can’t Attah Mills be a better man to endorse Nana Konadu Agyemang in the name of UNITY ?
• Why are Ghanaians afraid of Change? Etc etc etc and to top it all up the million dollar question of the day would be , WILL ALL THESE FAILED PERSONALITIES BE ABLE TO REVIVE AND REDEEM THEMSELVES TO RALLY BEHIND WHO EVER WINS THE VOTES AT THE SUNYANI CONGRESS?????????
Yes, they have failed NDC members both home and abroad, by their lack of proper leadership skills. They have failed Ghanaians by showing us they only cared about themselves and surely not the nation’s interest. The answer to that question is very simple and it lies in the hands of you and me, yes you the reader and me. You may very well be an NPP, URP , CPP or whatever but deep down there is a bit of NDC in you and you too can make your voice/opinion be heard. An NDC youth initiative which was inspired by the conference held on 21st May 2011 by the Amsterdam branch of the NDC Party and dubbed GHANA’s NATIONAL INTEREST FIRST is calling out to you this day to get involved on our face book page and lets carry a unified message to all the delegates at the congress in Sunyani next month. The message is simple, Ghana our beloved country deserves better, and its national interest ought to be upheld with the true ideals of the Great NDC PARTY. We declare we are all Ghanaian’s first and every one of us should be his/her brothers/sisters keeper. NDC deserves respect to its ideals, NDC can and shall win 2012. NDC would rally being who ever emerges as the flag bearer for the 2012 party, and its time we all put off/down our fighting gloves, to embrace a family reunion that no other political party in the history of our nation has ever had before, to show Ghanaians that NDC shall take 2012 and 2016 , transforming Ghana into a country where the men and women are able to think out of the box. For too long we have held onto a dying template, a template that doesn’t dare to understand the need for change. Changing our ways by adopting a unified strategy void of insults and lies, but rather a constructive, self-empowering attitude that builds responsible leaders, and a society able to perform on the world arena with pride and dignity for being a true Ghanaian.
Enough is Enough, and our slogan for the month is : NO FONKAR NO GAME we are all NDC and shall remain a united NDC. EY3 ZU EY3 ZAA Let the healing process begin, we call for a truce and may the better man or woman win this congress. Lets learn to respect all aspirations of any NDC member by and large. Visit the face book page : NDC YOUTH COALITION FOR GHANA`S NATIONAL INTEREST and let your voice be heard for we believe everyone counts. We all owe to ourselves to be accountable to our actions.
NDC Party operatives home and abroad must begin to iron out their differences, the time of taking sides have come to an end. Lets unite behind one that is able to uphold the ideals and constituition of our great Party and his/her ability to take into account the importance to our national interest where every Ghanaian counts and no one is better than the other but rather we all become each other’s keeper in the true Ghanaian spirit. GOD BLESS GHANA.
