We aim to strengthen the structures of the NDC Party in Europe and Ghana, build our alliances with mainstream EU Socialist Parties with the aim of enhancing the Democracy and Governance system in Ghana.
The deliberations at Hamburg mainly focused on the smooth running of the network of NDC Chapters and Branches in Europe through a review of the existing Constitution for the operations of NDC Europe and the election of its Executives. Other issues for deliberations was the status of NDC Europe sponsored projects in Ghana including the upholding of Children Rights within the NDC Party Manifesto aimed at the elimination of Child Sexual exploitation and Child Labour. The Child sexual exploitation project is currently being implemented in the Constituencies of Jomoro, Walewale and Korle-Wogon.
The one-day Confab also gave the opportunity to Chapters and Branches to discuss their existing challenges and share experiences on each other’s successes. Goodwill messages were sent by Hon Kofi Attor, the International Director and Hon Henry Ford Kamel MP, Deputy Minister of Lands and Forestry who was scheduled to participate but couldn’t travel to Germany due to a pressing national assignment.
