NDC-Germany appeal for Biometric Registration for members

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Germany Chapter has appealed to the leadership of the in Ghana as a matter of urgency, take into consideration the biometric registration of its membership and branches in the diaspora.
Mr. Kpan Jerome Secretary of German Chapter-NDC made the appeal through a press statement issued early hour of today Monday 10th august 2015, stating that “our attention has been drawn to the statement issued by our general secretary Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia on the biometric registration of members of our great party, NDC which ends on the 16th August, 2015”.
According to Mr. Kpan Jerome, the statement was so silent on the membership of the external branches which gives a course of worry to them, as most of its supporters will not be able to participate or contest in the October president and parliamentary primaries.
“There has been pressure on us the leadership of the German Chapter from members as to been disenfranchised of their rights to participate fully in the internal electoral processes that is envisaged per the exercise.Considering the fact that both parliamentary and presidential primaries will be conducted on same date, 24th October, 2015”
“We therefore call on the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to as a matter of urgency make the efforts to biometrically register our members to enable us take part in all internal elections.The registration forms for the various chapters could be made available to us while a date is fixed for the collection of the biometric data”. He added
In conclusion he urge the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to reconsider the August 16, 2015 deadline for the mass biometric registration of its members.
