NDC Has Nothing To Offer -JAK

President John Agyekum Kufuor has said that the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has nothing good to offer Ghana after 11 years of mismanagement by Rawlings? Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) as military regime and his eight years National Democratic Congress (NDC) rule.

The President therefore called on Ghanaians to ignore the call by the NDC to return them to power and rally behind the NPP government to develop the nation.

President Kufuor was addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of Abetifi in the Kwahu South District as part of a four-day working visit to the Eastern Region. He noted that the NDC government, led by Flt. Lt. Rawlings and Prof. Evan Atta Mills, collapsed the economy to the extent that the NPP government inherited an inflation rate of 41% and interest rate of 51%. He added that after three-and-a-half years the NPP assumed office, the inflation rate has dropped to 12% and interest rate to 25%.

President Kufour said Ghanaians should judge his performance after three and half years. He maintained that his government is laying a strong economic foundation for future economic prosperity of the nation. He urged the people to rally behind him and return the NPP to power come December elections.
