NDC MP Insults Axim Constituents as dumb and retched

The National Democratic Congress's Member of Parliament for Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency in the Western Region, Kweku Tanikyi Kessie has described electorates of Axim especially Apewosika electoral area and its environs as dumb and money conscious people who are interested in demanding for monies to satisfy their supposed insatiable gains.

According to him, the people of Axim who are predominantly fisher folks are nothing but retched illiterates and hungry, who do not merit anything from his office due to their ungratefulness shown to him during the recently held parliamentary primaries in November, 2015.

He (MP) contended that due to their rebellion nature by not voting for him during the primaries, he has stopped prosecuting all major projects such as the drainage works which was started eight months ago.

The Apewosika electoral area which is the world bank of the ruling NDC since 1992 is gradually fading off since Hon. Kessie won the seat in 2012 without making his presence to them or campaigning.

Hon. Kessie even though he was not known in the party and the constituency rallied behind the party's popularity to win the seat against Madam Afeku who was tipped to be on top where she was noted to be popular than her Party's presidential candidate.

Madam Aba, a staunch member of the NDC in the Apewosika vented her anger on the MP for his innuendoes, saying the MP's comments are unfounded and the highest disrespect of the people.

She recounted that the MP before the 2012 election never came to the area to campaign but was given an overwhelming endorsement to the detriment of the then sitting MP Madam Catherine Afeku which led to her defeat.

Another NDC member popularly known as 'Adwoa Pure' described the MP's comments as very unfortunate and advised him to immediately rescind his decision and render an unqualified apology to the people of Apewosika since the area is the true decider of the Evalue Gwira politics.

Egya Ekow, one of the ardent supporters of the NDC and Hon. Kessie expressed shock over the revelations and cautioned him to apologize to the people since it will cause his chances in the November elections.

'Am indeed disappointed with the MP's comments, he (MP) prior to the primaries through his special assistant on Ankobra Fm, an Axim based radio station told the people that he (MP) will continue the drainage project after the primaries provided they voted for him which turned to be otherwise' he stressed.

The MP is very adamant and has resorted to relying on the Gwira votes forgetting that he won the 2012 elections through our efforts despite that he was not known by the electorate but through the party's popularity in the area he emerged victorious. Egya Ekow.

When contacted he responded with a text message saying "In a Meeting'.

The MP earlier this week was cited for causing tension in the party for his divisiveness leading to apathy, hatred and tension for orchestrating the removal of the election directorate who were selected by the regional executives.

He was accused of exhibiting a bad leadership style which is weakening the party's p
