NDC MPs Fear For Their Lives

The Disciplinary Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today hear the case involving the former MP for Amenfi West, Abraham Kofi Asante and MP for Shai Osodoku, Mike Afedi Gizo. The two have been accused by the leadership of breaching the party’s constitution.

But whether the two MPs will appear before the committee as scheduled is a big question yet to be answered.

A reliable source told ''The Evening News'' at the weekend that the two gentlemen might not respond to the invitation to appear before the committee for fear of their lives.

The source revealed that there was a plot by the party to harm the two people physically or destroy their hard earned reputation. It is alleged that some members of the party were putting its modus operandi into play by trying to assemble a group of thugs to molest and beat up the two gentlemen if they showed up at the party’s conference room, the venue for the disciplinary committee sitting.

Mr Kofi Asante has been accused of not communicating his intention to resign as MP to the party before sending his resignation letter to the Speaker of Parliament.

Mr Gizo, according to the party, accepted to serve on the National Petroleum Tender Board, which was constituted by the NPP government without notifying the NDC.
