25,951 delegates are expected to cast their votes across the twenty-six (26) Constituencies in the Western Region.

Constituency Secretary of the party, Hon. Mathew Ayeh commended the Prestea Huni-Valley District Police Command for giving them a tight security.

He said so far no incident of violence has rocked the process "The exercise has been peaceful and we are expecting this to continue till the end".

The Constituency Secretary was given an opportunity to say something to the delegates and the party supporters and has this to say "My message to the Delegates is that they should bury all differences if there is any and work hard for us to recapture our seat to get a total victory for the party if there is any because the NPP government has failed the Constituency and the country at large".

He added "small scale mining and businesses in the Constituency had all collapsed and if you are not an NPP card-bearing member you are not allowed to do small scale mining popularly called galamsey".

The police have pledged to be professional and deal with those who try to foment troubles at the voting centre.

As a time of filing this report, 250 delegates have cast their ballots.
